Another Beginning

20 Sep

In the early morning hours I sit here thanking the Lord for His sweet provisions.  For the birds singing His praises as dawn breaks and overcomes darkness once again.  For the brisk breeze sweeping away the last whisper of summer and ushering in autumn and the beauty of the colors of the falling leaves.  For the quiet house and sweet sleeping faces still tucked in tight , safe and dreaming away, waiting for the first rays to dance upon their faces.  For the blessing of another season to love, play, and worship. For breath, health, family, and friends.  But mostly for a Savior who is present with me, reminding me that the day is new and so are His mercies.  That yesterdays failures are todays testimonies. Another day, another chance, another beginning.

What are you thankful for today? I would love to know.

~Be Blessed and be a Blessing~

I’m thankful for knowing that Jesus loves me. The fact that He keeps no record of my wrongdoing! God’s grace is one of the most important things that I’m thankful for! We get a fresh start everyday, that’s enough to be grateful for.

I am thankful for the 5 little lives that He placed in our home through adoption. Just this morning I witnessed how their thoughts are always on God and it made me so proud.

We have so much to be thankful for, just living in a land of (relative) safety and peace, where machine gunners don’t roll through the streets, lands haven’t been rendered barren and woodlands deforested through acts of war.

I’m thankful we have a working govt. Whatever we say about our politicians, at least they don’t function principally by corruption, extortion and repression.

And of course there are the spiritual blessings as mentioned above. I’m thankful wherever folks read the Bible, accept its truth, and try to live by its teachings. The Gospel Message has been so muddled and befuddled, but it is still going out and people are still finding Christ as Deliverer, Counselor, and Lord.

Christine, I love this! We sometimes forget to be thankful for things that are good but not perfect. This was very inspiring to me and I am so glad you took the time to share. Many blessings, my friend!

Thank you, Danielle for visiting and commenting. We are always so quick to recognize the “big” blessing and overlook the small. A great reminder that God is in al the details. I know I am thankful for all the wonderful new friends here also 🙂

YOU ASK: “What are you thankful for today? I would love to know.”

I am grateful for people like you. Honest, open, and willing to share their heart – and their love – for God and the life he imparts to us all.

Grace and peace to you and yours.
